(Hello my dear friend)

On Monday 23rd August, Manos the Greek attempted to single-handedly reinvigorate the Greek economy by donating a generous gift of ten percent - £7.86 - of his total earnings from his show, 'Everything You Always Wanted To Know About Greece (But Were Afraid To Ask)', wearing a langolia (Greek kilt) in front of the Doric columns on Calton Hill, as an effort to subsidize Greece’s national debt and unite Edinburgh, the ‘Athens of the North’, in solidarity with his struggling homeland.

This won him a nomination for The Malcolm Hardee Cunning Stunt Award for best Fringe publicity stunt (press release available at www.thejohnfleming.com/MalcolmAwardPressRelease1_2010. Manos hopes the gross domestic product of his humour and wit will help to ease his country’s inflationary woes

Manos educated and entertained audiences nightly at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe as ‘Manos the Greek’ in 'Everything You Always Wanted To Know About Greece (But Were Afraid To Ask)'. As Greece’s greatest, unofficial tour guide, Manos’ mini-guide helps explain to audiences why they should choose the most cultural country in the world as a holiday destination, while also addressing several unfair myths (Greek word) about Greece (not a Greek word).

EUCARISTO for visiting!
