Welcome

"His anecdotes are full of smart, subtle humour and his jokes delicate, textured with witty punchlines. Interesting and clearly very intelligent" THE SKINNY, 2011

"He is very good. His humour extends to economics, etymology and cous-cous. And he has the only truly funny Susan Boyle joke I have heard"
Kate Copstick –THE SCOTSMAN, 2010

"See Manos, laugh and learn something along the way"
THREE WEEKS, 2010

Welcome to my website. Here you can find more information about my story (Greek word) so far, and my upcoming gigs.

I would like to clarify that I am not a character (Greek word) act. I am 100% Greek, the genuine article (Greek word). I say this, because I often have my Greek-ness questioned because of my orientally slitty eyes (this is usually by jealous guys).

I was born and bred on the island of Samos which of course makes me a direct descendant of Pythagoras. Surprisingly, this fact does not help me to get laid as much as you’d think. I have been living in London for over a decade (Greek word) now. I started doing stand-up comedy in 2006 and since then I have performed at over 800 gigs in the UK and abroad.

My subject material includes Greece and the Greek economy (Greek word, ironically – also a Greek word), immigration, science, religion and anecdotes from my life. It’s clean, intelligent and funny if I say so myself (which I do).

My first show titled ‘Manos the Greek: Everything You Always Wanted To Know About Greece (But Were Afraid To Ask)’ received good feedback (see video for a short extract) and contributed to easing the financial pain back in my home country (click ‘Manos Saves Greece’ for more details). Having educated audiences about my homeland, I am currently performing my second show ‘Manos the Greek: The Tale of An Immigrant’ (very popular with Daily Mail readers).

Hope to see you at one of my gigs.

GEIA SOU (Wishing you good health)
